Daily Food for English Vocabulary 1

Continue with our series to learn and build our English Vocabulary, here are the words for today's breakfast

Procrastination : delay or postpone action
Use: If you continue to procrastinate the things, you may end up with regret only.

Backstabber : the action of criticizing someone in a treacherous manner despite pretending friendship with them
Use : Beware of Backstabber friends, you don't know when they backbite you.

Hand to Mouth Existence : Hardly enough food or money to live
Use- One of the India's richest man is now penniless and is surviving on hand to mouth existence.

Tycoon : a wealthy or powerful person in Business or industry
Use- One of India's riches man is penniless and all thanks to his tycoon son.

Don't Judge a book by its cover : Never judge a person by his looks or appearance
Use- Don't look at his age but his expertise as you can't judge a book by its cover.

We are often let down by the most trusted people and loved by the most unexpected ones.
Some make us cry for things that we haven't done, while others ignore our faults and just see our smile.
Some leave us when we need them the most, while some stay with us even when we ask them to leave.
The world is a mixture of people.
We just need to know which hand to shake and which hand to hold.
After all, that's life - learning to hold on and learning to let go.

Daily Food for English Vocabulary

Here is the way to have your brain full of good vocabulary and that is not unreal but doable. So what I am going to do is I will through this blog will write 5–10 words daily that you may already know or would be new to you.
So gear up and here we starts !

Sporadically : It means occasionally or at irregular intervals.
Use - I am on sick leave today but I will be checking my mails sporadically.

Hubris : Excessive pride or confident
Use- Hubris may cause trouble for China as China is needing the big 3 powers of the world (US, India & Japan) which may result in puncturing of its own economy.

Driving on a sinking boat : Worst situation
Use- Currently because of Narendra Modi, Congress party is driving on a sinking boat.

Scintillating : Sparkling/glittering/shining
Use- Folk members of ISKCON performed Scintillating dance on the occasion of Friendship day.

Plunges over : diving/falling/sinking
Use- Sensex plunges over 700 points during the last seven sessions.
